On completing the composition of his “Halleluijah” Handel is reported to have said: “I did think I did see all Heaven before me, and the great God Himself seated on His throne, with His company of Angels.

During lockdown 2020 we wanted to share hope and joy with our family and friends at Easter time. Handel’s “Hallelujah Chorus” from The Messiah seemed like a good place to start. On completing the composition of his “Hallelujah” Handel is reported to have said: “I did think I did see all Heaven before me, and the great God Himself seated on His throne, with His company of Angels.” In our arrangement, Seb has transformed this choral and orchestral masterpiece into a carefully crafted work for A Capella voices (although in the end we couldn’t resist adding some brass parts!) Although all seems calm on the surface, behind the scenes of producing a multi track recording like this, with only two people, creates a frenzy of activity, a buzz of excitement and far too much to do - but we absolutely love it and really hope you enjoy watching the final product!

Seb Farrall graduated from Coventry University in 2014 and is now a professional musician specialising in choral conducting and establishing community choirs. In his recent appointment of “Artist in Residence” at the Methodist Central Hall, he has set up the brand new “Coventry City of Culture Orchestra” https://www.coventryorchestra.co.uk/

Fran Pritchard graduated from Bangor University in 2012 ,gaining an MA in performance on the French Horn. She now teaches the violin, piano, guitar, ukulele, recorder, trumpet and singing to many children! During lockdown, when live performances were off the menu, Seb took the time to really develop his video editing skills, and both Seb and Fran have sung their way through the difficult times and can’t wait for a life full of music-making together when they get married in May.
