End of the Covid time of 2020 . During my limiting outings, in my quest, camera in hand, and in the middle of this dark surroundings, ... I found GOLD !
15 years ago, I was already doing photography when I arrived in a new town: Nantes, there, I joined the photo-club: the Photo-Club Nantais. There, I discovered many things, met with a lot of photographers from different backgrounds. I did internships with great photographers who have greatly inspired me. During this time, I also discovered street photography which opened me to new horizons. I was particularly influenced by the concept of “Decisive Moment”, developed by the French photographer: Henry Cartier Bresson. It consists in shooting the famous formal peak in which all elements in the photographic frame accumulate to form the perfect image. This is why I am searching for the right moment to shoot. My search went on and on as I like to express my feelings through my works, I am constantly searching for the write cropping, the good angle, the strong photo with the right emotion. In "Gold in the dark" , because of the covid circumstances , I surely express my feelings regarding the darkness of this pandemic, all the loneliness of the lockdown, all the sadness for those who have left us, but it is different from my other works, darker, more reflective, without human, with a work on the colours, with low speed to be fuzzy, creating a hushed and glow atmosphere.
